La casa

The house

Since 1663

Ducali carries a tradition that began in 1663, when Bartolomeo Lopez y Royo, a Spanish nobleman who had crossed to the Kingdom of Naples, bought the feudal lands of Taurisano at the heel of Italy. His descendants were raised to a duchy — the Duchi di Taurisano — and their name endures in the whitewashed walls, baroque churches, and linen closets of the Salento.

Ducali — of the dukes — is a new name drawn from theirs: a boutique textile house, made in the same country, in the same spirit.

Our signature

La pochette is the piece we know by heart. Cotton velvet or pure linen, embroidered with your initial and finished by hand with an ivory tassel — for the small things, from the bag to the vanity. It is made to order in the Salento, in any colour we can find, over two to three weeks. It is the piece we are known for, and the piece we make like no one else.

Around it, four lines run the house: Kids & Babies, Art de la Table, Bathroom & Bags — linen for the table and the bed, terry for the bath, woven cotton for the shore.

The house today

Every piece is designed and made in Italy. Ducali operates from two homes so we can serve you well wherever you are: our workshop in the Salento (Puglia, southern Italy), and our US atelier in Florida that serves customers in the Americas.

Made-to-order lead time is two to three weeks. Ready-made pieces ship within three business days.
